Founded in January 2022, the Horizon Usher Foundation was established following the Horizon Project, a sailing journey across the Atlantic, sponsored by Giorgio Armani. The foundation's mission is to support research on retinitis pigmentosa and Usher syndrome — two rare genetic diseases affecting vision and hearing, leading to blindness — while raising public awareness about these conditions.

According to researchers and their recent discoveries, we are on the brink of a scientific revolution, close to finding a treatment for these diseases. Inspired by my personal journey and my desire to contribute and assist the healthcare professionals I admire so much, the foundation aims to raise funds to support their efforts and hope to save the sight of millions of people around the world. We believe in collaboration, working hand in hand with these researchers and fostering communication among healthcare professionals to bring innovative solutions to life.
